missing heirloom shards

i opened a apex pack, and it showed the beams of getting shards, you know the bright red/orange pretty beams and it made the exact sound, then it proceeded to give me all white things. how do i fix this? is there a way i can still get my heirloom or is it a hiccup in apex??
