missing apex packs after new update

i go on to apex and my friend says he got 25 apex packs out of no where and 12 thousand of the red currency but i got nothing. could someone tell me why this happened and maybe give me the packs i was supposed to get? my friend is level 36 and im level 56 or 7.if you could that would be nice.my username is ninjajax1324. thankyou

@SpyrosFPS 's answer on the issue. You will get nothing or just one pack.

Also nobody should be getting more than 14 packs, it is a bug.
