@Delgorath

But how come everything else works perfectly except for this one game? Is Mass Effect Andromeda the Windows 10 problem detector? The new account I made seems to have more problems than my old one, for example my task bar completely refuses to work. I find it a little hard to convince myself to basically reset my whole computer just for this one game, there has to be a fix by EA eventually surely...

I'm still having the same problem post 1.07 update. I have tried

Restarting machine (duh)

Sign out and back into Origin

Launch game in offline mode

Removed My Documents

Deleted EXEs, repaired

Deleted game, reinstalled.

Deleted Origin and game, reinstalled.

New User account

Safe mode with networking.

Repaired VC+

Have been on to EA support, sent my MSINFO32 and the DXDIAG, have attached the latter so if anyone sees something obvious, let me know.

You have a corrupt profile. It happens for various reasons.  It can be one application thats affected but its to do with permissions on your files being wrong or some kind of file corruption.  I've sorted hundreds of them over the years and it takes about an hour but its something I'm not going to advise you how to do over the internet as I'd prefer to spend that time playing the game.

Have a look for Microsoft guides on repairing a corrupt user profile on Windows 10.  You'll learn more doing it yourself ... Standard smile

Problem signature:
P1: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010  x86 Redistributable Setup
P2: 10.0.40219
P3: 10.0.40219.1
P4: 3
P5: vc_red.msi
P6: Repair_I_Silent_Error
P7: 1601
P8: 0
P9: unknown

Thats the x86 version and you should be using the x64 version.  Remove the x86 version and reinstall the 64 bit version.  MAke sure you set the pagefile to manage across all volumes ... Right click MassAndromeda.exe and turn off fullscreen optimisations.

All these seem to be a particular problem with Win 10 Home version ...

I tried to play the game today so I could open all the rewards you get for playing the apex missions on the mobile app, but the game won't launch after the latest patch 1.07!

What I've tried so far to fix the issue is:

A complete uninstall and reinstall of the latest nvidia drivers/geforce experience.

A repair of the game within the Origin app.

Uninstall and reinstall of the Origin app.

Uninstall and reinstall of the the complete game which took over 3hrs.

Deleting the games .exe files then and doing a repair of the game.

Uninstalling and reinstalling vc redist 2015 x64 and x86.

Ccleaner to clean drive and registry.

I attached the dxdiag.txt, hopefully someone can help.
