i’m trying to change my sims outfits, i’m trying to make them talk and start an event but it never works, it’s either blank or just not showing and saying “ Zach is unable to chat right now “

 what is going on?!

i can’t even edit the house since only the inventory comes up and says it’s empty and there’s nothing else to click i’m so confused rn
