The game exits to the desktop without showing any error. No apex_crash file is create

Your issue could be due to the software that controls your LED PC case lighting.

Check if temporarily disabling that has an effect, thanks.

Thanks for the hint, it will uninstall MYSTIC LIGHT 3 from MSI and see.
I have just noticed in the dxdiag file that the LEDKeeper2.exe process is causing a conflict.

I uninstalled the entire MSI software package, including those from the led control, but it did not work. Apparently it's not that fault. Today the game is quit to the desktop again without any error information
