Thanks for sharing.

I agree that from my experience here the most common cause for Origin related issues are security programs that aren't properly set up, as opposed to the actual viruses.

[Moderator Edit] For everyone with this issue, try this version of the Origin installer.

(Run the "OriginSetup.exe" as Administrator > right click the "OriginSetup.exe" > run as Admin)

If that version also don't works look at the troubleshooting steps in this thread.

I hope this work-around helps. I have traced the problem(on my machine anyway) to a Windows networking issue. Sharing my internet connection seems to have fooled Origin into working, here's how:

Control Panel >

Network and Sharing Centre >

Change Adapter Settings >

Click on "Local Area Connection"(Blackberry Device or Android or whatever you're using) >

On the top right, click "Change settings of this connection >

Click on "Sharing" tab > Click "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" >

Select your LAN connection from the drop-down menu. >

Click "OK" >

DONE!

Me too...there is something wrong with my proxy server for IE, too, and nothing I seem to do will fix it.

I think it's something on their side cause internet is working for everything else. Origin is the only thing i cant connect to. I have windows 10

I dont have Share Tab next to Networking at all.

Though i have Origin already installed on my PC (just finished downloading BF4 yay!),my friend is trying to install Origin only to get this error.He never had this issue before (old BF4 veteran).
