I think they're rolling out a BFV emblem creator soon, so that's probably why.

This is a known issue.

Hopefully there will be more information on this soon, but I'm assuming they could be updating the Companion App for Battlefield V.

Well seeing as it took them over a year to fix the netcode for BF4, probably sometime around 2020.
