battlefront 2 game freezes and crushes in hero selection menue

Hello.

New patch brought me in game problems , my game crushes when I am in lobby selecting my class or hero.

My game never crushed before during my 5 month game time.

After patch , every two rounds if I am lucky my screen freezes for a second  and then game crushes with out giving any report of error , just drops  me to desktop.

anyone have similar problem or have found solution? all my drivers up to date , did last windows update.. 

windows 10 home 64 bit

ram - 16 g

gtx 1080

i7 -6800k cpu 3.4ghz

I disabled DX12 and no more crashes.

Ok...I'm glad it's not just me.

I've had a couple hard locks and had to reboot my machine.

The game has been locking up on me causing my whole PC to freeze.  The last time it crashed I let it go to the blue screen and the error at the bottom showed DPC watchdog violation.  Then I checked the bug file and it mentioned the hal.dll file being the cause.  None of this started until today and only when playing Battlefront 2 since the update.  I played WoW for hours before that and had no issues, but playing BF2 crashes every time eventually specifically in the character selection screen.
