Hey again @shivvatron6000

Hmm.. So your BF4 does the same thing ? And the PC guy I guess assumingly to some extend refreshed your OS. Hmm.

Just to ensure that nothing goes wrong with the installations themselves, check that your UAC isn't set too high. You can follow this guidance to how you can change UAC levels down. I would not prefer keeping it at maximum : http://www.digitalcitizen.life/how-change-user-account-control-uac-levels

- Let's make sure the redist's are in place. Your tech guy did install the drivers but perhaps he missed the redist's. So here's the Visual C++ 2010 redist's :

32-bit : https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=5555

64-bit : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632

If you are on 32-bit OS , install only the x86 one. Otherwise run both.

And here's 2013 redist : https://www.microsoft.com/en-ie/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Be sure to run these as an administrator by right-clicking the setups and choosing "Run as administrator" .

- Go to where your Battlefield 1 is installed in (Default : C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 1) and in there to the folder __Installer\vc\vc2013\redist. Run both of these and make sure you run the as an administrator (Right click, Run as administrator) . Do the same for Battlefield 4 in the folder __Installer\vc\vc2012update3\redist.

And same thing, run both if you 64-bit, otherwise only x86.

- Then, in Battlefield 4 folder, right-click bf4.exe, choose Properties, goto Compatibility, click the "Run this program as an administrator" , then Apply. Do the same on bf4_x86.exe just in case. In Battlefield 1 folder do this same thing to bf1.exe. Then go to where your Origin is installed in (Default "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin") and do the same to Origin.exe.  This should ensure that your Battlefield and Origin at least has the necessary administrative rights for sure.

- Then let's make sure that Origin In-game wouldn't be the cause. Launch Origin, click "Origin" from top left, choose Application settings, then from the top Origin In-game. Click off "Enable Origin In-game" .

- Go to My Game Library, right-click Battlefield 4, choose Game properties, make sure the "Enable Origin Ingame for.." is disabled, and that from the tab Cloud Saves "Enable cloud saves for all supported games" is turned off. Do this same ot Battlefield 1.

- Also make sure that you did try to remove the save profiles from the Documents\Battlefield 1\Settings and Documents\Battlefield 4\Settings. Even if you uninstall the games these folders do not get purged so if your tech guy didn't completely uninstall your computer, these files would still exist there and would hold old setting files which could cause this issue to happen. One can try to simply back up the whole Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1 folders there and deleting them completely, then doing Repair on the game and it should restore them to defaults.

- Punkbuster errors shouldn't be related to BF1 as that doesn't even use it. BF4 does, though. You should load pbsetup from here and follow the on-site instructions to patch your Punkbuster manually to ensure it is functioning right for BF4 : http://www.evenbalance.com/pbsetup.php

Last but not least, run Windows Update to ensure there's all the drivers properly in place, and load the most fresh drivers to your Geforce from their own site rather than trusting the drivers which would come automatically otherwise with Windows Update. Here's a link : https://www.geforce.com/drivers

Sorry for a bit unorganized post, writing this in a bit of a hurry. I hope you can still follow it through.

Hey there @shivvatron6000

Has it worked for you before ? Have you tried using the Repair function on your game ? Launch Origin, go to My Game Library, right-click on Battlefield 1 and choose Repair.

See if that would work first now.

Hmm.. So you changed from ATI to Geforce. Drivers are up to date. PC "Completely restarted". Alright.

I'm not entirely sure what do you mean with "Completely restarted" , as in did you make a fresh installation of Windows or you just restarted your computer. What did come to my mind is that did you remove the ATI's drivers properly. You can remove the display drivers completely off your computer with the use of DDU to ensure there'd be no ATI drivers coming to the way of your new Geforce : http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Before that though, chances are that your BF1 is still using the old settings file and that could cause some trouble. Go to Documents/Battlefield 1/Settings (C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Battlefield 1\settings) and locate the file PROFSAVE_profile. This saves your profile settings like video options and the like. Chances are that your old GPU's settings might not be compatible with your new ones so back this file up, and then delete it. Then try and restart your game. This should force the game to start with default settings. With some luck, that would help the issue.

If not, you can try and open this PROFSAVE_profile with a Notepad. Try and set GstRender.FullscreenEnabled to 0, GstRender.FullscreenMode to 2 and GstRender.FullscreenScreen to 0. This should set it to Borderless windowed. Also, there should be GstRender.Dx12Enabled. Usually setting this to 0 works the best but for some people with newer GPU's setting this to 1 actually works better.

I'm sorry to hear that @shivvatron6000 , this has been quite the persistent problem. Usually these issues are related to display settings or driver issues but doesn't seem to be the case here if nothing seems to be helping the issue.

So let's see now, it starts to sound like it wouldn't be related to anything technical being wrong. Now the day's question is that what would cause the problem then..

So, to recap. You try to launch the game, BF1 or BF4, and all you get is a black screen and the loading circle in the corner. When does this exactly happen ? Do you get to the game's menus on BF1 (Or BF4 if you launch it through the Origin nowadays) or does this happen *immediately* ? If you do get actually on the menus, it's worth testing that does on BF1 the Campaign work, or does this issue happen *only* when you try and connect to the Multiplayer ? Similarly for BF4, you could test if you can go to the Test Range, or does this same thing happen regardless ?

Try launching your BF4 through the Battlelog rather than the Origin ( Battlelog link here : http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/ ). Login there, hover mouse over the Multiplayer, click Test Range. What's the result ?

If the game does run on Test Range, then we could imagine it's perhaps a connection issue instead of a driver, setting or hardware issue at all. If it still doesn't work through the Test Range even, then I am a bit stumped.

If you could, post up a DxDiag log here and perhaps it would provide any further insight to what's going on inside of your computer and perhaps that way we could determine where the problem lies : https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/
