“Your gpu doesn’t support dx11”

★★ Novice

So I got battlefront 2 last night and was eager to play it this morning but i keep on getting this error...

System specs:

Windows 10

i5 7th gen

gtx 1050

8 gb ram

Already tried the delete/repair option and tried it with dxpl. My drivers are up to date

No I cant redownload the game since my internet is limited.

Would appreciate the help

It is possible your machine may be defaulting to the Intel video processing on your CPU rather than your nvidia GPU.

  1. Open the nvidia Control Panel
  2. Click Manage 3D settings
  3. Click the Program Settings tab
  4. Click the Add button
  5. Select the game from the list or click browse and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\STAR WARS Battlefront II\starwarsbattlefrontii.exe
  6. Select starwarsbattlefrontii.exe and then Open
  7. Customise individual settings if you like
  8. Exit nvidia control panel and try playing.

Do let us know if this helps, thanks.

Can you please download the most recent drivers: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/141169/en-us

Run that setup and choose custom/advanced install and deselect the optional GeForce Experience and 3D components and also tick the box for 'Clean Installation'

Reboot and then retry playing, you may need to redo the steps from my first post here too.

Again, let us know how this goes, thanks.

@EA_Barry did what you said. But the game is still crashing a minute after the game loading screen appears. This time the error message went away tho. It crashes without any reports and take me straight back to origin....
