Xbox controller input issue

Xbox One Elite 2 controller is having strange input issues. Button presses occasionally will not register, and stick/d pad pushes will sometimes stick and keep moving past when i stop pushing. Anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions?

If the buttons or d-pad is physically sticking then they are just dirty and can be carefully cleaned.

If they are not physically sticking but your PC sees the button still being pressed, maybe you have a battery issue?
