Workaround for mouse bug! [ Edited ]

Found a fix for me.

Go to Documents/battlefield 2042.  Delete cache folder.

@Headpipelul This only happened after the update, I have tried restarting computer and restoring to default but still same issue- it is stuck in 1 axis

I am having the same problem. Something with using the mouse. If I plug a controller in I can aim to the left and right. But not with a mouse.

Hey all!

Thank you so much for the reports about the mouse not working properly in-game since Update 3.

We have passed it on to the teams and it is being looked into.

Main workaround (this will reset all your in-game settings):

Restore default settings by removing "PROFSAVE" files in My Documents > Battlefield 2042 > Settings

If this does not work, there is another workaround that seems to do the trick for many:

• Edit the PROFSAVE_profile located in \Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings
  • Open the PROFSAVE_profile with Notepad
  • Remove the lines that start with "GstKeyBinding.infantry.ConceptYaw"
  • Save and start the game again

A few other possible workarounds that have worked for players (ordered from easy to more drastic):

• Disconnect any USB peripherals (like a controller or extra mouse)
  
  
• Reset the keybindings for Mouse & Keyboard > OnFoot
  
  
• Reset the keybindings for Mouse & Keyboard > OnFoot > Edit KeyBindings > Movement
  
  
• Reset all keybindings
  
  
• Remove the Battlefield 2042 folder from the My Documents folder (this will reset all your in-game settings)

Same problem. My game is thinking I’m using a controller. I had this problem at first playing the beta. 

I purchased the game yesterday and played all day without problem. Then after todays update, my mouse doesn’t work again when moving. It works in the menu and fine as a gunner in a vehicle.

Where is the option to turn controller off?

Managed to get it working. Remove arrow keys from keybindings in movements (click on arrows then hold escape down till it goes), then reset keybindings to default, then remove arrows again and try to play.

No need to reset bindings. Just remove key and mouse bindings for looking up/down/left/right and assign them again. Worked for me.
