Why is origin not working?

im new at these but I think is pretty similar to steam, the thing is that I just downloaded origin, but whenever I try running it, it closes by itself or windows says that there was a problem with origin ad it had to be closed, im kinda frustrated since i was planning on buying a couple games on it, ive never had a problem with steam!!, i hope you could help me guys!!
