Why does it say details instead of download or play?

Usually on my pc when I click on the image of the games on my game library, there is a big play button right? I downloaded origin on a different pc and of course the button should say download, and the game icons show a little grey symbol in the bottom left corner of the games in the game library. this is fine for most of my games aside from a few. It doesn't have any symbol in the left corner as if it is downloaded and when I click on the image, the button says details. I checked the folder where downloaded games go, there's nothing in there. I just want to actually play the games! I tried clicking on the details button and just nothing happens please help!!

I believe it was running in the background. I closed it and it worked!

Could you try cleaning your cache and see if they appear to download/play then?

P.s. start Origin as Administrator. Also does the repair tool show up or is that grey too?

This happens regularly with me.

To fix it temporarily I have to do the following:
Origin>Go Offline.
Once offline go back Online.

All my games always show up to "PLAY", but this past month they all say "DETAILS" and have no way to start the game in Origin.

Either Origin is now employing Chimps to code the games, or its a FAKE NEWS DELIBERATE MISTAKE.

I can start the games directly through my windows Folders at the Games Drive/s, but why have this PoS software if we cant use it?

End of the day, if it don`t get fixed, everything Origin gets bad reviews accordingly.

This isn't some kind of big conspiracy, it's just a software bug.

I dont know about that..

I mean often I go into Origin and it has the message "It's all going according to plan."

Strange it seems those kinda messages always appear when something goes wrong.

Best thing, I did one of their required updates to Origin and then found myself with no play buttons.

Thanks for your reply! That wasn’t the issue with me, I tried it but it didn’t solve it! All good now though, I got it figured out

This still happens about 25% of the time. I just exit Origin and go back in. It is quick but annoying.
