Falsely banned without explanation?

★★★★ Novice

Context: I came back to Apex recently as I lost interest in game I was playing competitively and wanted to be able to play a different game to relax / take less seriously. When I was playing ranked (This was the first time I had played ranked in Apex, I've had the account since day 1 of launch but never played in ranked), after playing a couple of game I was just banned out of nowhere with the message of "The client's game account has been banned: Banned". So I instantly submitted a case and waited until today. This is also an account that when I first started to play apex, I sunk a decent amount of money and time into it.

I finally got an email about my previous case after a week, that said that I was "cheating" and that ea sticks by its decision. I'm literally at a loss for words as I have never ever used:

• use software that interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
• use undocumented features, exploits or cheats in-game that disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
• use software or cheats that disconnects other users from the EA servers.

Although in anti cheat work you tend not to disclose the information and say what people were specifically banned for (Aimbot, esp, silent aim, stuff like that), I would like to know what I have been falsely banned for. I have now submitted another case in the hopes that they redo their evaluation on my case. I've seen people get advice from other players and EA staff on here so I'm hoping I can actually talk to humans about it rather than waiting for the brick wall that is EA's case system.

Have any of you guys had this issue and resolved it? How did you tackle it? Is it possible to speak to any real person at EA?

You will need to speak to our Terms of Service team in relation to any ban @kjempus.

The process to contact our ToS team can be found here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

  1. Click Contact us at the top of any page on EA Help.
  2. Select the game that your account was banned or suspended from. If it’s on your whole EA Account, choose Origin.
  3. Choose your platform.
  4. Select Manage my account, then Banned or suspended account.
  5. Fill out any other details below.
    • For example, if you picked Origin, it might ask you if you are accessing the game through an Origin Access membership.
  6. Click Select contact option.
  7. Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension, if you aren’t already.

@EA_Darko I already did that again today after getting the email that said "We got your note and did a full investigation of your account. After reviewing your case, we determined that we took the correct action in accordance with EA policies and procedures." but I don't exactly have high hopes as it will take a week to hear back and they probably don't care enough to look into it a second time, so all I will get is another automated email. Yeah I could just play on an alt account and start from scratch but I shouldn't have to do that due to their mistake. Is this really the only way to approach bans on EA?

Hey @kjempus I can assure you that our TOS team fully investigates any appeal they receive.

The best thing to do is to fill our a second appeal with as much info as possible.

Apex Legends - Unfair Ban

★★★ Newbie

I was banned unexpectedly and I have no idea why, originally I was confused because I thought I didn't receive and email about it but eventually found it under the "promotions" tab and when I read the email it said that I had been banned for cheating. I have never in my life cheated in this game and I've been spending so much time and money into this game and it has become one of my favorite games recently and I don't understand what I did to get banned. I have no idea if it was someone I may have downloaded on my pc that they might think are cheats or something but I've been playing this game for months now and I don't understand why I would just now be getting banned, I don't believe I have installed anything in recent times that could be thought about as cheats. I just really want to know why I got banned and I want to know if i could ever get than account recovered as I've spent maybe $800+ on it and I'm actually so lost and confused and scared.

@Noxdify

If you feel you have been incorrectly banned, you can dispute any action against your EA account by following the steps in this article:

Thanks.

@EA_Barry yeah ive submitted one i just wanted to vent out my frustrations and see if anyone else has had the same stuff happen to them, and it was just weird that it said i was just straight up cheating without saying when it was and what i was even doing. and or what thing i have installed that set it off, im just confused.
