Voices in story mode in slow motion

I just installed the game and all voices in story mode sound like they are in slow motion. I watched a YouTube of the same cutscene and this is def not how it sounds. All other audio (effects and music) are normal. 

I’m playing on steam and here are my specs. 

Ryzen 7 2700x

rx 590

16gb ram

ssd

I have played with all of the audio settings to no avail.

Im using USB mouse and keyboard, also i can play the game fine its just when the characters in the game speak their voices are distorted and slow.  This happens in the cut scenes and in the game.  Would you like me to record what im talking about.

A recording definitely could provide some useful context. Any info about non-standard sound device or hardware may help too, if you have anything like that.

so it turns out my blue tooth headset was the issue, i switched to wired headset and now the sound works fine.  Weird that i haven't had issues with any other game and this headset.

Thanks for the update. Just so we have the info, can you post the headset type?

I had the exact same issue and fix.  I'm using a Kendrick Bluetooth Headset.  I believe it just uses the standard Microsoft driver.
