Very Low FPS after changing Laptop screen

★★★ Newbie

Hi ,

My Laptop Screen Resolution was 1920X1080 FHD , but that got damaged so I to replace it with a new screen  but the repair guys updated my Windows 10 and put a 1366X768 resolution screen. Previously FIFA 19 & Sea of Thieves were running decently at 30 fps , but now all my games are running below 10 fps and the maximum resolution for the games are 1366X768  . Am I getting low FPS because of the low resolution screen ?

I've tried updating Nvidia drivers but that too isn't working.

My Specs are : -

1. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4720HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.6GHz

2. 8 GB Ram

3. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M

4. Win 10

I have attached the DxDiag file too.

Hey @CrysLake

It's strange that running the game at a lower resolution would actually lower the FPS. Can you check something for me when you've got the chance?

Open up the NVIDIA Control Panel on your PC and click on Manage 3D Settings. On the Global Settings tab you should see a drop-down menu there that says Preferred graphics processor. Make sure that your NVIDIA GPU is selected there rather than the integrated Intel graphics.

Let me know if you notice any improvement with your FPS after that. Thanks!
