Update required battlefield 5

I cannot play because it say “Update Required You have to download and install this user interface update to play online” then I click update and it does not work. Then I click “not now” and it backs me out. Someone please help

Found a fix for this. Unfortunately the only way is to fully uninstall and reinstall the game. The updates are done through the reinstallation and the problem goes away.

Me too I don't understand. I go to the game itself and it shows no update. I have the exact same problem. It was first gameshared and I thought that was the problem, so I bought it and tried it again and its still doing it. #sos

Hi There,

Same problem on Xbox One X. There is an audible clicking sound when I press "update" but nothing happens. I then back out and try to go online (press right trigger) but get a message saying "You have lost connection to the EA servers".

Any fixes for this at all?

Hey @OzSFsarge

Please try clearing your MAC Address, and doing a hard reset on your Console.

Go to Settings, Network, Advanced Settings, Alternate MAC Address, and Clear.

Then unplug your console for about 30 seconds or so, and plug it back in.

Also, go to Manage Game, and make sure there aren't any Updates available for Battlefield V to be installed.
