I just talked with EA about it cause i have the same problem and they told be ( server is out line for PS4 so during the day it will come back ) also for FIFA17 and other games..

Same for me on PC. I've checked everyone possible on my computer and network and even reinstalled the entire game last night. No go.

I've been dealing with this since yesterday, there is absolutely zero fix for this. It seems account based for many people. I"ve read reports of people signing into other friends accounts on their machine and it working, and when they try their broken account on working machine it doesn't work and follows them.
Many/most of us here have done everything possible to troubleshoot this as customers. No amount of linking to old KB articles with rudimentary steps is going to fix this. EA has to do something on their end.

Same for me on PC. I looked through the "help" articles that talk about connectivity issues and did a lot of the steps it tells you to do. I even downloaded the UO trace utility application and found that one of EA's servers with the IP address: 159.153.93.2 has 100% packet loss.

**Update my issue has been resolved!
I opened a case with EA support, and had them call me back. I explained my issue and immediately they said my account was "banned". I couldn't get great detail from the agent as to why exactly, but it sounded like it has something to do with the way I either bought or unlocked the game. Regardless he said the security team is triggered on these events and they lock the accounts b/c they don't know who is doing what (like a bank).
After confirming my security question, resetting the password and setting up 2 factor authentication they un-banned my account. They stayed with me on the line until I was able to confirm I had "online" access in game and access to all of those features.

No pc connection to north american servers either, other content is available
