Unable to install Origin on PC

I've got a windows 10 machine that meets all the performance requirements for Origin.

I download the installer and when I attempt to run it the icon briefly appears in the taskbar before vanishing.

I tried running it in compatibility mode to no avail.

I've also ensured that any precious installation has been completely removed per the instructions listed here.

Until you get Origin installed, disable your antivirus and any other security software and then perform a clean boot as follows before retrying the installation.

I keep seeing 'disable antivirus' and clean boot. Why on earth would you want to do that?   Thats like walking around with your pants down

I would personally run Malware Bytes and Glary Utilites and get all the shiite off your machine first. Then full removal of graphics card drivers to windows basic drivers.  Then run 'MSconfig' to seek out hidden exe's in start up of Windows. Reboot then see how you get on.  I would never turn off security software. Windows is clever enough to not let you install if there is a conflict.  Only conflict you would get is a 3rd party firewall whilst running Windows firewall at the same time.  

Lets start with a clean machine and go from there :-)
