Unable to get in game woth PSN Friend

Hey, noticed there is a problem getting into a game with my roommate. We are on psn and chat party works fine so it has to be something within the game. We queue up after joining lobby and without fail one of us ends up in game and the other gets booted to the load screen saying connection to server failed.

Any help is appreciated!

Also only seems to be happening with my roommate as other friends and I play and load into the game just fine
