Update: I've played the Celebrity games in the Community Days campaign that lasts 5 minutes and it won't stop counting when a basket is scored from 05:00 to 02:00.

@ANTITEXNH The timer should stop when the ball is not in play once you're under 2 minutes from what I was able to observe last game.

@EA_Blueberry Shouldn't the timer stop all duration of the quarter? Just like in real games?
P.S. If the ball goes out of bounds the timer stops even if it's not under 2 minutes, but doesn't stop when a basket is scored.

@ANTITEXNH While that is how official NBA games are played, for a lot of our mobile sports games the time is adjusted to balance out the amount of time it takes for an event to complete from start to finish. Generally, a lot of players don't mind if the events speed up a little quicker this way so they can rewards faster.
