Throttle and controls will not respond in story mode. Game unplayable.

Updated my Squadrons Games for XBOX one and it is now unplayable. I start a new campaign and when it gets to the point you have to follow the lead TIE out of the hanger the controls become non functional. This is exceptionally frustrating as the only reason I bought an XBOX one was for this game. Doubly frustrating when one comes to find out there is near zero product support for modern games. Would love to live out my childhood dreams here? Anyone else suffering from this.

Hey @ZiggsBonglightr Could you try to power cycle the console and see if that helps. 

How to power cycle: 

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button  on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
3. Important Make sure that you wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
4. Plug the console power cable back in.
5. Press the Xbox button  on your console to turn it on.

Tried that and everything else I could think of to no effect. The last patch that dropped seemed to clear the issue up for the time being.
