I am experiencing this as well. I have tried everything under the sun within my ability to just get the game to launch, but every time I click the play button it just seems to crash.

Try a game repair per https://answers.ea.com/t5/Troubleshooting-Guides-Info/GUIDE-Client-Repair-Scan/td-p/6454174/jump-to/...
also ensure there are no 3rd party injections like mumble

First of all I really really appreciate your quick response and willingness to help. Thank you for taking time out of your day to help me. Secondly I just finished trying what you said, and while it did take the time to verify the files like you said, it didn't work when I pressed play again. It just crashed once more. I have also tried this fix:
Game flashes black screen and closes
Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time
Copy the following in to the text box and press ok
%localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings
Open the client_settings.ini file in notepad and ensure the following are displayed within
Fullscreen = false D3DFullScreen = false RefreshRate = 60
Check NativeHeight, NativeWidth, Height and Width ( all 4 ) match your monitor resolution.
Save and close the file.
Start the game as normal.
Change graphic settings within the game as desired.
However after trying this and opening up the client settings in notepad there is nothing there at all. Which is very strange.

If there is a client_setting file try deleting it and see if a new one is created on next launch

Okay I just tried that and it said that it was reinstalling, but took only a very short time. Once it was finished I relaunched it and it crashed again. I feel as though I've exhausted my options here.

Odd deleting the client_setting file should not trigger a any sort of reinstall message
Can you go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient
there is a different file there called client_defaults
change the fullscreen = true to false and save and retry the launcher
other the that post a dxdiag per this link to get an idea of the system
