This is completely unacceptable! Who tested this patch??!!! How incompetent do you have to be to release a patch in such a sorry state!
The game is unplayable on DX12 with DXR and DLSS on. Even with DLSS off the game crashes all the time. Sometimes you can't even go through the splash screen. If anyone bothered to test this patch for 5 min, would have found out that this is a complete garbage!
There are hundreds of other people reporting the same thing. Please get your act together and patch this mess to fix it.
What a joke!

Todays 4/4/2019 update fixed the crashing to desktop with DLSS, but 1 second stutters still occur with DXR. It seems to happen more than once early in the match. I meet PC requirements.

Ever since the recent update from NVidia's lastest RTX driver support DLSS. After enabling DX12/DXR ON & DLSS option with graphics to Ultra on Auto. GPU restriction is set to off.
The game works for a few minutes and then dashboards/crashes to desktop or when initial loading begins upon entering a server. Its a hit or miss sometimes to get into a game or even when it does crash, relaunching it just doesn't seem to work.
Restarting Origin/or even my PC does do the trick to get back into the main menu. When I do its a rinse and repeat situation. The game tends to hiccup on a frame during game play. You will see a slight frame jump when using the scope or even while running. While playing not even for 5-10 mins the game just quits to the desktop.

Has anyone experienced any forced desktop crashes during load times?
How can I fix the issue?
Upon playing single campaign mode. Noticeable FPS improvements. 80-100 FPS RTX/DLSS Enabled ULTRA Settings.
Same with online but now I need to single out the problem of why it crashes on me..........

It is definitely not your system. The latest update made the game unplayable in DX 12. EA and DICE need to fix this mess ASAP!

After spending over an hour with 2 different EA Advisers I didn't get anything that isn't there in this forum. Can't blame them as I'm pretty sure they don't have a manual on how to fix it yet. In the meanwhile if you can't get past splash screen do the following.
1. Open Geforce Experience and go to Battlefield 5.
2. Click the spanner icon to open custom settings. (screenshot below)
3. Drag the slider completely to the left for max performance. This will turn off DLSS and DXR. Click Apply.
4. Now open the game and it should run fine. Adjust your graphics settings to your liking and wait for Dice to fix this issue till you re-enable DXR & DLSS.
