Has anyone else had an issue where after Alt-Tabbing out of the game their monitor simply appears to lose connection to their computer and goes to a dead screen? Ctrl+ ALt+ Delete doesn't have any effect - well it may but as the monitor is effectively dead how can i possibly know - and even after a hard power reset the computer will go through initial boot up and it's possible to see the bios stuff along with all the other different boot options but as soon as it comes to the next step of start up the screen once more goes dead. The only way to get the computer to 'see' the monitor once more is to do a system restore.
I alt-tab out of every game I play all the time and never have an issue. I do it so often it's a habit to alt-tab out to have a quick look at the news or other things during a lull in gaming and have done it 2 or 3 times today and every time I have to go through a system restore to get the system up and running once more.
