Stuttering/Fps Drops since last update (PC)

Since last update i am having constant stuttering, to the point that the game becomes unplayable. Since there are multiple posts on the same topic i assume that its not a problem with my rig, but rather with the update itself. Lots of people have complained about worst performance since April, but we havent heard anything from the devs, on the subject. Funny thing is that my Fps are always between 70-110 but the stuttering is noticeable.  Also all over reddit, there are posts from console players (both Xbox and Ps4) who are having similar issues. As i said above i play on PC, my specs are well above minimum and i havent changed anything to my Pc. Other games run fine.  Hope that we will get a Hotfix and a proper ANSWER from the devs on this GAME BREAKING issue SOON... Is anyone having same issues since the last update?

@Ghost_8231_ It could well be the update no question I just like to try and rule out everything as this has hit some PCs and not others. A buddy had this issue with last update and I had him remove G- Force experience and it helped some and then he changed out his video card driver and his issue is fixed 98% just stuttering once in a very few now. I had it once and repair game fixed it but have not played enough to be 100% sure I have no stuttering at all or FPS loss yet since last update. Edit.. the consoles have been having issues for a long time with stuttering it seems, with PC some more then others.

I'm not experiencing these issues on my rig (just increased latency variation and rubber banding) so please provide your PC specs, OS, and which version of direct X you are using.

@Ghost_8231_ Check your in game settings as I have had updates to BFV change my in game settings so with every update I always check settings  @Ghost_8231_ and  @ragnarok013  I play on DX12 no issues @ all and this last update did not give me any major problems other then maybe once  stuttering but only once and repair game seems to have fixed it so far maybe to soon to tell yet lol.

@Ghost_8231_ As I don't know your PC specs please do what you can for settings listed below...

For Origin turn off cloud storage and turn off origin in game. ___Make sure you turn both OFF



Open Nvidia Control panel under 3D settings go to Adjust image settings with preview

Pick use my preference and set it to performance and hit apply.

Next step in game video settings advanced in BFV .....

DXR enabled OFF



Nvidia DLSS OFF



High Dynamic Range OFF



Make sure frame rate limiter is set to 200

future frame rendering- off

vertical sync- off



UI Upscasling AUTO

GPU memory restriction- off

Below set graphics quality to custom



Everything on med or low but stuff below...



Mesh Quality is on Ultra

Antialiasing post processing is on TAA LOW

Ambient Occlusion is OFF

FX amount is on LOW

DXR you cant turn off its on Ultra



Under Basic Video settings do this for settings in BFV


motion blur set to 0
Under video Basic ....
ADS Fild of View - OFF

ADS DOF Effects OFF

Chromatic Aberration OFF

Vignette OFF

Lens Distortion OFF


To see fps in game with no typing do this....



To see FPS in game with out fraps etc:
1- open note pad
2-put this in the note pad.....

perfoverlay.drawfps 1

Perfoverlay.fpsdisplayscale 4 <<< this can change to 3 or 2 or 1 depending how big or small you want it. 4 is large.
3-when you make the user.cfg in notepad,change the file type from text to all. And name it user.cfg
4-Put in .....:\Program Files\Origin Games\Battlefield 5
5-Also close Origin to put cfg in just to be safe :}
6-You will see your FPS in top right of screen when you start BF5



If you still have issues look at doing a clean boot it can help rule out programs on the PC making issues..  https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

It could also be Armoury Crate making issues or GForce experience if you have them installed.

Thanks for the reply. I checked settings already they were the same. I am playing since day 1 on DirectX with no problems. My specs are I7 7700K/GTX 1060 6 GB/ 16 GB RAM and having.

Windows 10. 

Since day 1 i have Origin in game and Cloud Saving Off.

I have tweaked NVIDIA Control Panel with a separate Bf5 profile.

My video settings in game are almost the same as you are proposing with most video settings on medium/low.

My Fps are between 70-110 but the game is stuttering all the time. On Reddit/Twitter there are lots of posts from ppl with same issues after the last updates. They report Stuttering even on Consoles. 

I will try to repair my game through Origin, as i didnt try that out and i will report.
