Game launches, but it stays at the "Checking for Updates" screen. Been like that all day.

@Apollos90125 It's kind of crazy not one person from EA has replied in hours. I don't pay money for this game for it not to work. Sad!

this continues to happen with no support.  I spoke with support on the phone for an hour yesterday just for them to tell me its happening to some players and end the call.  When will this be fixed or how can we work around this?

If you're still having difficulty getting past the "checking for updates" screen and are on Android, could you please try clearing the app data and try to load the game again? There were a few updates that went out yesterday.

Before performing these steps, please make sure your account is linked and that it isn't a guest account.

That does not work.  I have tried clearing cache, as well as uninstall/reinstall of the game software.  The issue persists.
