I pre-ordered squadrons with a friend hoping to play together, but have since found out we're not able to access online services at the same time. Apparently we linked both of our profiles to my single EA account years ago. This is now preventing us from accessing any online features at the same time...
To my surprise you can't simply unlink an Xbox/PSN account from an EA account - you have to go through EA support. I've contacted EA support twice and they refuse to unlink our profiles since the EA account has Apex Legends data (seriously I might have launched into the game title screen once).
Is there any workaround for this issue? I'd rather not have to refund the game.
