Stuck at Finalizing after recent update

please help, it's just stuck at finalizing,

tried deleting chache, force closing origin on task manager, restarting my PC, running it as admin, still stuck at finalizing

Cancel download and close Origin! Go to Apex game folder then Installer after that directx and redist folder then search for DXSETUP.EXE launch it and install. After that you can try to launch Origin and try to install the game. Hope it helps!

Were you able to try the steps that @AXiONMAMBAAA mentioned? Are you still having any trouble with the update getting hung up on finalizing afterward?

@EA_Kent tried that still didn't work but for some reason the issue was solved after I updated windows, really weird.
