Still cannot connect to EA online in BF1 xbox one x

Probably an age old issue but bought BF1 on xbox yesterday and keep getting the "Failed to connect to EA online".  Never had the problem on my PS4 version.  I read the articles and reset my router and my cleared my mac address info as recommended and no joy. Anyone have any suggestions?
