Steam apex vs Origin apex?

My steam apex is stuck at loading, the loading circle rotates for 20 minutes... meanwhile, Origin apex is loading for 3 sec.
Why steam is such a ....... ?

@TBTFW There was an issue affecting the Steam version of the game, all players were encountering an infinite load screen. Fortunately this is being fixed now and we're getting folks back in now.
