Star Wars Battlefront 2: Please update your Intel Driver

[ Edited ]

Hi!

I just bought Star Wars Battlefront 2, and when I tried to open it on my laptop for the first time, an error appeared saying:

"Please update your Intel Driver; Detected Intel driver version 10.18.10.5059 08/16/2018 00:00:00; The recommended version is xx.xx.15.48 or later. Please update your drivers at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/ before playing the game.; Do you want to try to run the game anyway There may be stability, performance, or visual corruption issues."

So I went to that link and downloaded the latest drivers, but the error keeps appearing. Even if I click "yes" and continue to the game, i get a black screen and the game closes. I have searched everywhere but found nothing so far.

My Laptop specs:

Intel Core i5-3317U

6,00 GB Ram

Intel HD 4000

(PS: Yes, I know the laptop does not meet the required specs, but I play other games with the same requirements of SWB2 and they run ok.)

Hi @jesusking7764

While you might have some success playing other games we cannot guarantee the game will launch or play without any technical issues with those specifications. Star Wars Battlefront II is a highly visual demanding game that requires a strong graphics card. It looks like your process and RAM is also below system specifications.

Hi @CreditWarrior96

Your system specs should be able to run the game. I'd recommend making sure you have the latest drivers for your video card and updates for Windows.

Here is how to check for those: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/pc-graphics-troubleshooting/

For Windows Updates just type "Windows Updates" in the search bar on your desktop. You'll see it at the top.

With an Nvidia card you'll want to visit this site to download the latest driver: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

@EA_Blueberry

Ok. I guess there is nothing I can do then. The game is not even opening. I would at least like to open the game to lower the settings, but all I get is a black screen and then it just closes. This is very annoying because I have seen many people playing the game on the lowest settings...

Hey @jesusking7764 , if you go to your document folder, do you see Star Wars: Battlefront 2 there?  If you do, open it up and go to settings and then open ProfileOptions_profile with note pad. You can change your settings there.  Standard smile

Hey @EA_Atic , There is a SWB2 folder there, but no settings inside. The folders that do appear are: CrashDumps, RimeTemp, and Screenshots. They are all empty except for CrashDumps, but there is no settings there either...Devil
