Star Wars Battlefront 2 Crash on startup

So lately I have not been able to launch the game, it comes up with the loading screen for about 10 seconds and crashes. It does not leave an error message. I have already reinstalled the game, disabled all overlays, all drivers are up to date, and have tried a multitude of other possible fixes that I have found on the internet, none of which have worked. MSI GL62M 7RD, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7300HQ CPU, Windows 10 Home 64-bit, GEFORCE GTX 1050. I am running it off of an external hard drive using USB 3.0, however I have not had any issues with any of my games ever using this setup.

Sorry to hear about the crashes to the desktop with no error, those can always be frustrating to troubleshooting.

Let's see if it's a program running in the background that's causing this. Can you perform a clean boot and then immediately launch Origin as administrator?
