Squadrons will not open in Origin. Stuck on the Easy Anti Cheat screen

Same problem and I just bought/installed the game, today.

I also just re-upped my Webroot subscription for 3 years (last month), so dumping Webroot is not my best option.

Wondering whether to get my money back from Epic or just wait it out...I've got Cyberpunk 2077 to keep me busy until they can fix this.  :P

Lets hope they don't wait until after Christmas break to fix the Webroot issue.  Starting SW Squadrons is like a box of chocolates......

Same issue... I just bought/installed the game. Can't even get past the splash screen.

We played the game last week successfully - and after the update to 4.2, it failed to launch on one of our two licenses (the other one worked fine). The game never got past the anticheat; no error message ... it just returned to the Origin launcher (and the task manager showed no activity at all). Repair, update, restart, reinstall - nothing worked.

Eventually, we desperately renamed the game's configuration folder -- and suddenly it worked fine!

Just in case this proves to be valuable for someone:

Delete or rename the folder C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\Documents\STAR WARS Squadrons\settings and start the game. You may need to verify your ingame options afterwards.

Did not fix the issue for me still it silently quits after the launcher splash screen.

What worked for me was to launch Origin and do a Sign Out from the top menu.

After logging in again I was able to launch the game and get past the initial splash screen

I just installed Squadrons last night.  It won't run because of Anti Cheat.  I followed all of the instructions.  Updating windows, closing all other applications,  Verifying AntiCheat was loaded.  I have spent hours trying to figure this out.

I have the same error and I dont have webroot installed.
