Sound lag and game feeezing / disconnecting from the EA

★★★ Newbie

Product: Apex Legends
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
Please specify your platform model. Microsoft Xbox One X
What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name? Wizzer900
Please provide your squad mates' gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name if possible.
Which Legend were you playing (if applicable)? All
Which Legends were your squad mates using (if applicable)?
Where did the issue occur? In a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. Happens all over
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Randomly happens during every game
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? I don't know
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? Not sure a few
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 6/11/2019
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? Sound goes, game freezes, sometimes kick me out from server. Game worked well since the release then this lag came out of no where. Every game the sound will be off, sounds won’t come into speakers or will be delayed by 10-15 seconds, game will crash randomly due to freezing. Connection is fine and other games work the same.
What should be happening instead? Game should work like before
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Great question I can add a video but I deleted the game and tired of the *, it lags out uncontrollably that I can’t play

Fun game wish it would work

Are you still having trouble with this and have you tried reinstalling the game to see if it may have been due to a corrupted file that was downloaded? These steps below always help out with freezing/crashing, let me know what happens.

Also, if you have the game installed on an external hard drive, make sure there aren't files on both the internal and external drive. That can cause some weird performance issues. I would reinstall if you notice files on both.

Power Cycle the Console

  1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
  2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

  1. Plug the console power cable back in.
  2. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Clear Mac Address

  1. Clear the MAC Address: From the Xbox dashboard select Settings>All Settings>Network>Network Settings>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear, then restart your Xbox.
