Solo Abandon Penalty

This has happened multiple times to me in ranked now. I will load in by myself, and obv not wanting to hurt my rank by landing and then immediately getting murdered i try to go back to the lobby. At this point, ive been hit with abandon penalties and it is too much. Am i expected to dive in solo to a team game and hurt my ranked play?

Played 3 games. first i got killed and respawn timer went to 0, i quit. 2:nd game only 1 team mate, i quit. 3:rd i got loaded by myself, i quit and boom, 5min penalty. Working as intended?

It's definitely not perfect. I've definitely done just as well dropping in solo vs. with 2 randoms in solo queue... So unless you're actually playing with friends, I would personally just go for it solo.
