Sims 4 won't work after the newest update.

The sims 4 plays alright just when you highlight certain icons you can't understand them because they are a mixture of letters and numbers and also problems when you go to buy a retail shop the little screen that appears I guessing how much money to use on your shop is the same problem can someone help?

sexychris27 you need to do this>Close Origin , then...
-go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games
-rename Sims4 to Sims4=
-start Origin
-now the game appear in My Games ready for Download
-close Origin
-rename Sims4= back to Sims4
-start Origin
-and now game will be playable

taniquesmith  try to remove any Custom Content / Mods.

Try in your Origin client, right clicking and select Repair Game.

My game won't work. It was working the morning of 5/7. The evening of 5/7 around 9:30pm I logged in and none of my family appears. I click on the homes and the screen gets bigger. Please help. I have no mods.

Have you tried right clicking the Sims 4 game tile in Origin and selecting "Repair Game"? This should help in making sure that there are no issues with your installation.

Yes I did. I did it for each... Outdoor and Work. It's 1:45pm so I'll see if it's working today. Any other suggestions?
