a friend of mine had the exact same problem over the weekend. We tried several things, even a reinstall of windows / origin / bf5. In the end we fixed it with
- Deactivate Cloud Syncronisation in Origin
- Rename Profile under C:\users\your username\Documents\Battlefield 5
Start game ... voila ... it works. If it not works, try using someone elses account on your pc and repeat this steps afterwards. That what it fixed for us.
Hope this helps someone. See you on the battlefield

Has anyone tried my second suggestion and tried a account of a friend/clan mate?

The bug report got stuck in our spam filter. Its now removed from there, so the link above should work.
Thanks for all the reports and information, for players that are having this issue are you experiencing that your hardware is getting 100% used or any overheating going on?
