*Server not responding*

"SERVER NOT RESPONDING"

I cannot connect to the server. I literally just got the Collector's Edition secondhand, and I set up an account. I installed the game, tried to start it, and all I keep seeing is 'server not responding'. I cannot find any topics that cover this as an issue.

I would really just like to explore the game for a while and see what else I'd like to do with it, but it makes it kind of hard when I can't even get into it.

most usual cause is antivirus and firewall settings

That does make sense, I'm just not sure what to adjust or take away. Arrrrrrgh!

You can for example add swtor.exe and launcher.exe to both your firewall and antivirus safe list.
