2 years passed and it is still an issue...
2 glitchesd in a row on 6* sith triumvirate, phase 3 (screenshots attached).
Looks like my sisters hits too much.
"Action" buttons and a gear in the top left corner are blocked, but I can switch targets, talk in guild chat etc. Auto attack doesnt work too.
Nexus 5x, android 8.1.0.
Hey folks (@Elendao @KyJoe_Cool and @Vadersfalcon), troubleshooting has helped the icons appear in the past. 
Depending on what device you're playing from, could you run through the basic troubleshooting steps for Android or iOS and see if that helps the icons reappear?
