Customer support told me over the phone that many people that use bitraider are having the same issue.  Whether this is true or not is beyond me. They just posted on dev tracker a couple of minutes ago that they're still looking into it.

This sure looks suspicious to me:

2016-05-03 17:08:49 INFO Download: http://127.0.0.1:49813/app/download.solidconfig (127.0.0.1 )

How in the world can that ever work, as it certainly does not point to a host Bioware owns.  And my PC does not have that file structure on it.

INFO General Patch manifest state error in retailclient_swtor (e209)

If you are using a retail install (from the disks or pre-whenever they went to bitraider), the manifest has an error in it.

From what I am reading on the official forums, people with BitRaider (streaming install) are getting in. People with a retail install are not. I've posted this to the official forums but I have not seen a dev look into the thread in hours. There is a single reply to ask for logs.

Here is where it is dying.

INFO Download: http://127.0.0.1:32450/app/download.solidconfig (127.0.0.1 )

127.0.0.1 is your localhost. Obviously, you do not have the patches on your own machine so it can't download them from there.

All they need to do is fix the manifest I would think and make it point to the actual patch server instead of your localhost.

Now, you might not know much about networking, and that's okay! Most people don't. 127.0.0.1 is a loopback address. It points to localhost. That is, at itself. The computer you're patching on, in this case. That's why it looks sus to you.

None of us have the required patch files in that location, the above is never going to work.

I was basing my observations on looking at the posted log files, most pointedly my own. I noticed the vast majority were retail client installs. If some BR installers are also getting the manifest error, then it might not be a good idea to redownload the game using BR to bypass the retail manifest problem.

I just was looking really forward to the next chapter and not be here nearly 6 hours later waiting for a manifest patch. LOL

Anyway, based on what you just said, I am not going to bother a BR reinstall either. After a 30+ GB download, I would pull my own hair out if it failed to patch.

Here is a work around from the forums someone else posted;

http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=8922861&postcount=526

The thread it's from is here;

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=881475&page=61

Hopefully this helps. Someone else pointed out the loop back address may be because it downloads the patch, then applies it so that final line directing it to your computer may not be the issue. Maybe.
