Pacifist Bug

I've been hit with the pacifist bug, the one where you can't sprint. You also shoot after landing on a jump. It also fires at random. I have just got a new controller, and it started happening. Got the controller yesterday, and every other game works fine. It's 2019 and have they still not provided a fix?
