PVZ GW2 loading issue after 04/02/18 update

I am having issue loading PVZ GW2.  The game only loads into the character select screen. There is no option to exit from this screen. I have tried resetting PS4 multiple times to no effect.

This bug has been around for some people for a very long time.  It was introduced to most of the rest of us in the latest patch.  I honestly don't expect a fix, just do as @romrussia1 suggests.
