PS4 save data disc to digital

Hi, last year I bought the disc version of Jedi fallen order, got mid way through. The game became free for ea play, so I downloaded it to free up my disc drive, etc... But I couldn't use the saved data that I have saved from the disc version for the digital copy, I have removed all saved data for both versions, deleted all known files for the disc version saved on my ps4, then downloaded the save file I have uploaded to ps+ cloud, still nothing... What gives?
