PS4 performance since S2

Just a quick one. Has anybody else noticed their PS4 fan going into overdrive while playing Apex? It never did this before S2 I don't think.

As soon as I close Apex, the PS4 calms down.

Gran Turismo Sport had this issue after an update and they patched it. I'm wondering if this is something game related?

My PS4 doesn't do this with other titles.

Do you have a lot of other apps still running in the background while you're playing Apex and has the PS4 been on for a while? It you don't have a lot of hard drive space and the area around the PS4 is dusty that could lead to some fan issues.

A power cycle can always help boost performance too if you haven't done that in a while.

Power Cycle

1. Touch the power button on the front of the PS4 for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps twice).
2. Turn it back on after 1 minute. Launch the game.
