PS4 DualShock disconnect issue when using T.Flight HOTAS 4

Using PSVR on PS4Pro with HOTAS 4 Flightstick.

if my DualShock controller is also on when I am playing the game (even though it is not in use), and it shuts down/disconnects during gameplay (e.g. times out and shuts off from not being used), the popup notification to reconnect the DS4 will come up and the game no longer will accept input from the HOTAS even though it is still connected, and the primary controller being used.

reconnecting the DS4 does not make the warning pop up go away, and the game will receive no input from either DS4 or HOTAS.

Only solution seems to be to turn off the DS4, unplug the HOTAS and plug it back in, then hitting the PS button on the HOTAS 4 will dismiss the popup and you can resume play.

Workarounds are to make sure the DS4 is powered off before going into the game.
