that actually happened to me. played over 51 hrs for my career data to be lost and i can't even restart a new one with my player iv been leveling up. thankfully i had got the game through EA Play Pro (15$ a month sub) so i have cancelled that. but imagine those people who spent 70$ and can't return it. AND wasted 50 + hrs.

@bluestreak797 Same. Issues with starting career properly since day 1. Or actually day zero cause I had early access. Incredibly frustrating, trying to stay patient because I am enjoying the game but WANT TO PLAY CAREER

Yes, same here not been able to play career mode at all.

Frustrating as hell!

It is not possible to launch career mode or save any settings.

Tried all suggested solutions on this forum and on the internet.

Deleted and reinstalled a couple of times.

I can select where to start the career but thats it basically.

Then when trying to launch nothing happens.

And the only option is to go back to main menu.

If one reenters career mode the user will be prompted with settings for the (previously) selected career mode.

But it is not possible to apply the settings or use default settings, if the user tries to do any of these options the game freezes and only option is ALT+F4.

EA SPORTS PGA Tour Career mode doesn't work

★★★★★ Novice

I am playing the game through the EA App on my PC, which exceeds all the minimum requirements.

I am unable to play the career mode. One of 2 things happen:

1. It will bring up a settings menu to select how many rounds to play for the tournaments. Changing anything forces a save then you are stuck at this screen; can't back out, can't select anything. Your only option is to Task Manager End Process the game then relaunch.

2. You'll get asked where do you want to begin your career; USGA, Korn Ferry or PGA Tour. You can go into any of those but can't select anything further. Just 2 yellow rings appear in the lower right corner indicating something might be loading but nothing happens. You can back out and try again but can't get past the selection screen.

I have re-installed the game, re-installed the EA App, restarted my PC, cleared the EA cache and so far nothing worked.

Exactly the same problem for me. PC has a high spec. Can play every other mode. Just finished Korn Ferry Tour and can't progress to any other career now.

I'm having the same exact issue, started yesterday. My character is still there, but my career is gone. Takes me to the screen for match settings and then freezes. It's as if my career was erased.

100% the same thing. Even tried deleting local saves etc. Nothing is working, clearly an issue on EA's part. This has been going on for two weeks. Are they even bothered?

Cannot play career mode

★★ Novice

Product: EA SPORTS PGA TOUR
Platform:Steam-PC
Summarize your bug Not able to access career mode with original golfer
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? This happens when trying to access career mode with created golfer on day 1 of pre-release. Click on/select original golfer Select Career Select 'Where to start' and choose any of the 3 career options Select Career mode settings
What happens when the bug occurs? After selecting Career > PGA Tour/Korn Ferry/USGA, the loading circle appears in bottom right of screen, but two of them appear... assuming 1 is loading and 1 is auto save. Nothing happens...I can select any career path in an infinite loop and nothing happens If I back out of this and then select Career again, it will then go to the Career settings for 'round length (quick/full)' and career length, etc. If I make any changes and then either try to save or even back out after making changes, the game doesn't freeze, but becomes unresponsive and cannot back out. Must restart game. If I create a new golfer, there are NO issues. I'm able to play career mode and do anything else. The reason this is an issue is that I bought the pre-release and spec'd my golfer and am a high level and do NOT want to start over.
What do you expect to see? With pre-release golfer, select Career mode and am able to open, play and progress in the career mode.

This bug initially presented itself after my game crashed for the first time; the game completely froze and I had to hard reboot my computer as the entire system became unresponsive.

I have found other's in the Answers HQ that had similar issues, but no one explained this exact scenario and I have found no answers to this.

I progressed through career mode without issue for roughly 10-15hrs and got to my 2nd PGA event, when halfway through a round, this occurred.

Appreciate any assistance on this. If anyone from EA can at least let me create a new character and transfer all skills and progress to them, this would resolve the issue immediately. I really want to play Career and don't want to start fresh.

Please let me know if you would like any additional data reports/files.

Thanks!

Aaron
