(PC) In-Game Audio Issues

★★ Newbie

It's kind of hard to explain what exactly is happening, but the easiest way to describe it is this:

I can't hear pings, gunshots, etc. that aren't in my field of view.

If my teammate isn't in my screen, and they ping something, I won't hear it.

I've tried repairing, uninstall/re-install, etc. and still no joy.

Any recommendations?

Is this a simple setting I'm somehow missing?

Ive been having this same problem since monday, and been googling all around for a fix without any results..

But now I have a "fix", that at least works for me. The problem is that somehow the game forces your sound settings to 7.1 surround sound, and there is no "normal" way to disable it...what you can do though, is to plug in headphones(mine are connected with usb) before you launch the game, launch it and now the setting should be set to headphones/stereo. Just unplug the headphones if you want to play without and the setting goes to stereo.

Hope it helps.
