Ok people, check the following settings in your BIOS

turn thermal throttle off

turn vitrualization off

last but not least check your POWER SUPPLY,

also your wall socket power I noticed issues running straight off the wall, once I put a nice surge filtering power strip fixed power issues and allowed me to overclock to 4.2ghz

I also have the I7 9700k and 2080ti with a 180 euros Motherboard and also have these Problems. I am looking for an fix for that. There is a German Youtuber called Theekwah who has the same equip then us and he has no problems with it. 

Will also try to get my I7 to 5.5 Ghz with the Nzxt x62. Will update this when I found a soulution.

PS my Gpu is mostly something arround 60%.

almost a similar situation bro , i have i7 8700, 12 gb ram , rtx 2060 oc  , my gpu usage is not crossing 60 percent , earlier before patches it was fine after that mercury map everything ruined

Someone who says he does not have this problem probably only looked at a small map with 16 players or a nearly empty server.

My i7 3770 could ALMOST run the game... Now a i7 9700k has double amount of cores, each core is faster, i have 32GB RAM now... The only explanation in my mind that can consume so much of the extra CPU, is that they have polling mechanisms that don't have a sleep in (of example half a millisecond) or something to keep it in check.

Hello,

I have an i7 6700K running at 4.4Ghz (Msi game mode from my mother board). 

I have a GTX 1070 6GB, 16GB Memory and my game is running on my SSD.

When i'm in game, no matter the setting I choose, I can't run the game at 144 fps except in the snow map. 

My CPU is 100% all time and my GPU is only at .. 3%

I have tried some tutorials only with BFV settings tweak, but no changes. 

I have made a clean video driver uninstall using DDU and a clean install of Nvidia drivers. No changes. 

Why is my GPU completely useless while my CPU is burning ? 

I have heard in this situation CPU might be the bottleneck but comon, i7 6700K with boost and still bottleneck ? 

Do you guys have a solution ?

Then can we fairly say the game is poorly optimized if it relies only on CPU cores, never had any issue on other recent games with my setup

Same problem. 90-100% CPU, 3% GPU.

Do i have a bad CPU for this game?
